Well, this is my latest and best effort to date. My take on a Les Paul with some of the same playability features I use on my bass guitars. Though not quite a shredder, the only road this things has covered has been the Highway to Hell....Anyway, I was born in 1983 :)

African Mahogany back
soft curly maple top (from Michigan)
flamed/birdseye hard maple neck
Coco FB, veneers, transition block
natural unfinished maple bindings
PRS vintage bass neck pup
PRS HFS bridge pup
3-way, independent tone and volume for each pup, coil tapping option
Cat-poly finish

Hope you enjoy it...

Beautiful! Did you do the finish? If so what is it and how did you do the burst?
Nice job
Terry

Wow Steve this is a gorgeous guitar!!!!

The headstock shape is very cool too with a wild look that I like.

And I was wondering about the finish too?

Beautiful work my friend. [:Y:] [clap] [clap] [clap] [clap] [clap]

Yes, I did the finish ( I am still saving my pennies to get a Joe White :))

It is my second attempt at cat poly, and I sprayed and sanded off the whole bit or major parts about 11 times. I am finding that the work to get a properly thin finish without any mistakes is quite extensive...but worth it. I figure in about 5 more guitars it might be respectable from every single angle of the guitar...

The colorant is a mixture of Transtints - first applied in a multistep process to the bare wood, and then mixed with the initial coats (2) of poly to achieve the bursted appearance. I can go into explicit, possibly more helpful, detail if you would like.

Thanks for looking,
Stephen

Could we see a shot of the back of the heel area? Looking really nice, I like your headstock shape, it's similar to one I use.
