I'll go $100. Gotta get it movin' back the other direction...that way I can try to snag it when it gets closer to the $40 I can afford...

This is a beautiful set, nice choice Bob.

I've not ever heard or played a guitar with Narra back and sides, nor have I ever seen the lumber. What is the weight and/or density like for this tone wood? For those who have built with it how would you describe it's sonic signature?

Thanks Andrew. Take a look on my narra page for some info. http://www.rctonewoods.rcefaluguitars.com/narra.htm

Does the wood darken over time, as Padauk does?

Danny most woods will darken as they age. Narra will not darken anywhere near what padauk will. Much easier to bend too.

I will testify for this wood. Works like mahogany, sounds like a slightly brighter Koa, the change under finish outstanding. The curl is electrically iridescent under finish. Terribly under used in my opinion. Especially when wanting a reddish high figure wood.

This is currently WAY to cheap for what it is.

JJ, AZ, Rich A., Joe White and I all saw this wood in person and helped Uncle Bob resaw it too. It is stunning zoot and Bob had to cut it the day we were there because of back orders for it.

Narra works like a dream and produces a great sounding guitar. It also have been used for guitars for many years too.

Don't miss out on this one.

Dave:

You might have to wait a while for those photos, I've only finished four guitars in the last five years. Guitars #5 and #6 are very close to being finished. I hope to have them done by the end of summer.

I'll be using the Narra soon after, so don't be hold'n your breath 'till then. :D

Greg
