Would those of you who build a guitar of the same basic size as the Olson SJ / Ryan Grand Concert please let me know here?
Ameritage is making a final decision as to whether they will be adding the SJ to their stock line of cases. They would like a list of builders who make a model this size.

Already on the list:

Kragenbrink Guitars (E2)
James Olson Guitars (SJ)
Kevin Ryan Guitars   (Grand Concert)
D.E.Williams Guitars (SJ)
Don Williams38572.7374421296

I'm pretty sure my SIG will fit that size. They currently custom make that for me so I'm not really sure what they are going to use for the SJ size. If you talk to them you might ask if mine will fit the projected SJ case. Paul

I'm not sure if my SJ would fit or not, but I think it would. The lower bout
is a little more rounded, but should fit.

I build an SJ model but I think it might be slightly larger than Olson's Most of my customers order a Calton case though. Lower bout 16" upper bout 11.5" I also use the TKL Small Jumbo case which is a pretty good fit and is so cheap. How do the Ameritage cases compare to TKL in quality and Price(Price available to builders not retail Price.)

Although I'm in the Uk so not relevant to your case supplier, I found the SJ is growing in popularity, the past 12 months OOO and SJ have been most popular.

Basic dimensions:

Upper bout:      11 - 11.5"
Lower bout:      15.25 - 15.625"
Length of body: 19.5 - 20"
Depth at tail:   4.5 - 4.875" + -

These are approximations, but I had them pad it thick enough to accomodate a range of instruments. My SJ is:

Upper bout:      11.125"
Lower bout:      15.375"
Length of body: 19.5"
Depth at tail:   4.625"

My SJ is on the small side of what the case will fit.
The prototype fits my SJ like a glove, and I had them increase the size a bit once I saw it so it could fit other guitars as well, like the OLF SJ.

In my opinion, the Ameritage case is substantially better than the TKL/Cedar Creek cases. The hardware is nicer, the construction better. It's also heavier and a bit more expensive. For obvious reasons, we shouldn't post the dealer cost of the cases here in public view, since customers can come here and read it easily. Retail price is just under $400.
