Thanks Lance

The One at the front is a OOO 24.9" Scale, Bound in maple and ebony, rosette maple and ebony, European Walnut back and sides and European Spruce Top.
Mahogany Neck. It was a comission and left home today.

The back one is an SJ again European Walnut/European Spruce, bound in Holly and Walnut, Holly and Walnut Rosette. English Cherry Neck.

Nice work, Russell! I really like that walnut. I wonder how European Walnut compares to American Eastern Walnut?

That SJ is a unique shape. What are the dimensions, and can we have a frontal shot?

Great guitars Russell, OK so I'm going to copy those rossettes!

English Walnut is my second favourite wood for B&S. It has much less of a tendency to sound muddy than the American walnuts. Especially combined with a cedar top it's a bit of a "classic" over here, but I also like it with European spruce. George Lowden, the greatest man ever to pick up a chisel, is a great advocate. For a 'Jack of all trades' guitar English walnut is hard to beat. In fact, I have just ordered some more English walnut sets from the same small supplier that Russell uses.
