Over time I have sunk some money in to Dremel attatchments such as edge guides base plates and circle cutters, but have also discovered a much more efficient way of routing my channels for bindings and purflings. The biggest problem I've had with the dremel set up is stability and power. even the edge guide is a little hard to control, so I went to a local bearing supply house and bought several pilot bearings in various sizes to fit 1/4" shank straight cut carbide bits that I use in one of my laminate routers. Much easier to control and cuts very clean and uniformly. Plus the 1/4" bits are considerably cheaper that the specialized 1/8" dremel bits. Some of my cabinet building holdovers I guess. --N.C.
