The family arrived in Santa Cruz just over an hour ago, and what did I do during the drive? Mocked up the headstock for a strat I expect to start the finish process on a week from tomorrow.

Good question.

Fender has been going after the guys who've become successful with vintage reproductions over the past few years, but they're not going after the guys like me who build for personal enjoyment and sell the instruments to people who ask for them. Meaning I don't market these things and don't sponsor any forums.
