I just found a brand new Porter Cable 2 cylinder, oiled, 60 gallon compressor for $250. Its 240 volt, 9.6 cfm, 3hp.

Good deal? Way good deal??

If it's a single stage, it's a good deal. If it's a two stage, it's a very good deal. Also check the motor RPMs. It should be either 1500 or 3450 RPM. A 1500 RPM motor will make less noise, trap less moisture and the piston seals will last longer.

The other thing is what will you be using it for? 9.6 cfm might be a little low for something like a Dynabrade sander.

A 5HP DevAir will put out over twice the CFM of a 5HP Porter-Cable, they use a much looser definition of HP than the higher-end manufacturers. On the other hand, DevAir doesn't compete in anything near that price range, either, as they're more industry-oriented.

If I do not buy a fuji HVLP, I may get this. The compressor offers more usefulness. I do not plan on using heavy air tools... finish spraying, filling tires ;) etc.
