Recently I asked John Hall if he would be willing to sponsor the Red Rocks Community College Lutherie Department were myself and others offer building, finishing and repair courses. John was enthusiastic about the idea from the start. Today I arrived home from the school and there were three large boxes waiting for me. He told me they were coming but wouldn't tell me what was in them. Well, upon opening the boxes I discovered an arsenal of stuff!! There was a binding jig complete with router, building molds for an OM and dred, bending forms for the OM and dred and a bending machine complete with heating blanket, slats, thermometer, timer etc.!!!!! Talk about going above and beyond!! I would like to publicly thank John Hall and Blues Creek Guitars for the extreme generosity and vote of confidence they have shown to me and the college by making this donation. [clap] [clap] [clap]

I even added some saw dust Good luck with the classes. The heat blanket was donated by my supplier , Pro Therm Industries. They are watts per inch and will get over 400 degrees.
I hope the guitars that come from the class are killer

Very generous offer, John and a wonderful gesture for a good cause.

That's why one of my personal guitars is named "Tippie". John, you're one of the best!

I'm still blown away by the generosity of this luthier community. This gracious act is just another example of the quality of individuals here.

I am saving up for a side bending tool and some other stuff. I knew I picked the right guy to buy from. John and Brenda have my support and will get my business.

Wow, that's probably the greatest example of generosity and kindness that seems to run through the world of lutherie. A tip of the hat to Jon is certainly in order!

BTW John.. I run a "lutherie school" in my workshop at home, where I am the student, teacher, and foreman. I teach by the "learn from your many mistakes" method haha..
The next time you fire up that lacquer gun and start throwing things into boxes, consider Goobie's (unofficial) School Lutherie. I'll gladly pass along my address to you! haha laughing6-hehe

Cheers to both you and Robbie,
Chad

John,
You have a very good heart. The world needs more people like you. I know the Lord will bless you ten fold.

I am not surprised to hear of John's generosity. I would not be a luthier were it not for his friendship and patience. Especially the patience ;)

Way to go, John!
