It's been six months from the original post about 2008 subscriptions and the year is almost 2/3 over.

What's the latest on the coupons?

You know, I've been completely staying away from this thread. Figured I shouldn't give any input as I didn't renew my subscription this year, but has this ever been addressed?? What's the deal? The thread was about to fall off the page and has had no response in close to a month.

Not good business, guys. And, yes, it is a business - money changed hands right? Most anything can be forgiven with some response, explanation, communication of any sort. But taking a man's money then completely blowing them off without even a respose?

Not good business...

Wow, Greg, I saw this about to drop off the page. Didn't know you were responding at the same time.

Sigh........ :D

As someone who DID subscribe this year and who ALWAYS will subscribe to the OLF I think that we need to cut our friends and hosts some slack here......... And my use of capital letters was not intended to be yelling either..... :D

I never saw the subscription fee as a payment for goods and services. Instead I view it as making a small contribution to help keep the lights on here at this incredible place that has done more for me in terms of teaching me to build guitars than any other source ever. In addition I have made countless friends here with some of the finest people who I ever wished to Photoshop..... :D

When and if I feel slighted or ignored in some way I always try to ask myself what can I do, right now, to make it happen for me and not have any dependency on anyone else to come through for me. If the discount coupons are an issue for anyone consider this: When contacting an OLF sponsor ask them if they were going to be part of the coupon program. You might find that they are part of it and just the mention of this will get you any discount that a sponsor was going to offer with the coupons. Of course not all sponsors are part of the coupon program but there is no harm in asking and the real point here is that our very valued sponsors do want our business and deserve same.

I also think that it needs to be said here to Lance and Brock that you guys are very much appreciated!

There is no doubt that Lance and Brock are appreciated here. That isn't the issue! I paid for my subscription too. The subscription included coupons. I didn't ask for them, but it was part of the deal. If it is not part of the deal, do not offer them. If it is part of the deal, deliver. It is that simple. Don't make promises you can't or are not willing to keep. Send them out one at a time if they are straggling in. Why do we have to wait for them all to arrive. Send emails to the list with attached coupon codes. As it stands, we'll be paying for a new subscription before these coupons arrive. Why not just let the sponsors post what they will do for paying members, and give them a list. How hard is that?

There you go Waddy bro - great idea! [:Y:] [clap] [clap] [clap] [clap] This is also an example of how each and everyone of us has the ability to think more in terms of a solution. Good going.

Even better, since it is a voluntary coupon thing with the sponsors, just give them a list and let them send out the coupons. They can even change them from time to time, or send out a quarterly special or do whatever they want with the list, including tossing it in the can. Leave it up to them. If I was a sponsor. I'd love to have that list. The guys that support this forum will also be the ones that support the sponsors. I know you want it "organized", but why? Let the sponsors run it. It's on them if they don't get business from it, and not on you.

Brock buddy could you send me an email too please - I am in procurement mode and may be able to use my subscriber benefit right now. Thanks!

BTW last year my use of these coupons paid for the entire subscription fee and it was a great deal for me with some good mags and more too.

I sent them to the email address you had listed @ your web site.

If anyone else who subscribed didn't get the coupons let me know.

I got my coupons too. There are a lot of good discounts and a full year to use them. Thank you Lance, Brock and the participating sponsors.
