I just curious, what general wood working forums do you guys read? Which are your favorites?

Hi Brock,
I like www.woodweb.com for cabinet /furniture/installation and business.
They also have a great used tool section.

Also, though not a woodworking forum, it has been very helpful...www.owwm.com. Old woodworking machines.

Woodnet is probably my favorite overall. Well-organized and a good group of guys. I believe it's hosted by the publishers of Woodsmith and Shopnotes, but there's not much corporate presence there at all.

Funny you should ask. I was just thinking about this. Being a furniture maker and woodworker I have visited most all the forums over the last 10 years or so. I like this one the best !! I really like the co-operation and willingness to help from everyone. I also like the accurate self evaulation of ability or experience so that you know what level of expertise or experience is answering your question. I also like that people can rant or go off a bit here without everyone getting their panties in a bunch. On a lot of forums there is a bit of hyper caution as far as tone etc. I am all for civility but if a guy has to lay it on strong once in a while doesn't bother me. Also the level of work that is being done here is of a very high caliber from first timers on up. So this place is by far the best site and the only one I participate in any more.

I also enjoy Sawmill Creek. Really good subforum on using hand tools.

No special reason... I just wanted to look around on some of the wood working forums.

I was actually interested in tool storage ideas

These two are my favorites. By the way, if you folks need good wood at a decent price, look up Barlow at Lumberjocks. He's in the upper peninsula of Michigan and has some great stuff.
