Thought I'd share a few photos of some woods I commonly use and see what others think about the combo/appearance.
Nice figure, simply appointed and very clean was the look I was going for.. Sad to say these are no longer with me, but nice looking anyway, IMO.
What are your thoughts?? Be honest, now.

The walnut sapele tenor on the bottom is my fav I like the body shape with the jumboesqu curvaceousness is this an original design or from plans?
What fret marker material did you use ? Very nice!

I like to make my own designs so I have the molds and jigs for each model.
The tenor is one of my favorites to build, this one was made with the remnants of guitar woods, so material costs was next to nothing. Body is 8-1/2"x 12-1/2"x 3" deep, I used bone inlay for the fret markers in a "piano-key" style, actually just pieces sliced off the saddle stock and routed in. The baritone has no binding, 3/32" round-over bit gives it a smooth feel. The hybrid ( I call it Aetherius) is just fun to play and build, very different, and tuned up to either AECGDA (1-6) or as high as "D" in a 12 string
version.
Here's a couple more photos of the backs, and one of the Aetherius in a 12 string tuned to "D", (basically the 10th fret of standard guitar) So chording is the same.
