Hi guys and girls, my graphic ad buddy got my photos to me last week...here's a peek.

Sorry for hogging the bandwidth...there are actually 3 more guitars to show, but you'll have to check the "Luthier's Showcase" for them... .

Larry, You have pound/number signs (#) within your file names, and I think that won't work.

Lance, I see you've already solved all my problems (with photos, at least! )... in the words of Chris Farley,..."What'd you do"?

That is sweet! I really like your fretboard inlay and your cutaway.

Ok Jerry,

It's Sitka/EIR...got the EIR from Vikwood out in WI before I "met" BobC! Abalam rosette and top border, curly maple binding, MOP/black CA/Ebony dust vine , Ebony f/b and bridge, one piece Mahogany neck, Grover tuners...the dim's are:

LB 15 1/2
UB 11 1/4
Waist 9 1/2
Depth 3 1/2 to 4 1/4
Body Length 20 3/8
SL 24.9

Larry

Very nice, very clean! With all due respect to builders that use Florentine cutaways, I just don't like the look of something that appears to be able to inflict a wound. I like your adaptation of that, however. (What do you call this cutaway style?)

Looks like some exceptional EI Rosewood, topped off with Sitka. The near-black stripes on the back throw me a bit, as I can't remember seeing such strong black stripe/zones in EI Rosewood. An exceptional set, for an exceptional guitar!

Dennis

Edit: Oh you took away the mystery of the species as I was typing!DennisLeahy38584.4265393519

Dave, the cutaway was my first, and I was afraid to go with too big a bend..the customer liked the "rough draft" so we went that way...I just got my new John Hall ("Hi John" ) cutaway bender, so look for a Venetian next time...Lance, yes, it is! I'm cutting a similar one myself this next build, but DePaule's stuff is just great! Have you seen the latest vines on that site? Don, BRAZILIAN? I'd have an ulcer I could fit the guitar thru if I hadda bend brazilian right now...not to mention, I'd need to put my kidneys on EBay to afford it!

Larry

Dennis, I call the cutaway my "I only have enough EIR to try this once" cutaway! The guy at Vikwood really did me right with this set of EIR...it was my first order from him and he really went the extra mile! The top came from a lot of 5 I bought on EBay back in the day....

Well, it sure is a beauty!
And it would fit the new Ameritage SJ case really well too!   And no, I'm not being paid to say that.
