It's only day one (actually not even day one officially yet) and I've met Brock, Davis, John M., John How and a few of the big hitters. Tim keeps avoiding me but I'm sure I'll grab him tomarrow.
We've got a good bunch of people here.
Not much else to say, just wanted to put a "positive" thread out there.
Take care,P

Paul, I was there yesterday and saw your booth. You were chatting with someone, so I didn't want to interrupt. But your guitars looked great.

The show overall is great. There's a lot of people out there building at a very high level!

Hey Gang...

Just checking in from the hotel....

It's been a good but very tiring show, there is absolutely a *SEA* of guitars at this show, since this is our first show we are taking notes and making changes as we go to generate interest. We have as a group decided to stop talking to McKnight because he's already selling guitars!!

The Flag Guitar has generated a ton of intereste as has the new fanned fret (I'll post pictures later of it), I had both disappear a number of times for photo shoots (one for a book of guitar art which I was very honored by). I think people are on sensory overload as they walk around, there's just SOOOO much good stuff here, good thing I spent all my money getting to the show

anyway I'll post an update early next week with pictures once we have a chance to rest a little, I have to be in the real office on monday so tomorrow night we pack, head home, crash and then get up for work

Gotta go, we need to make price labels for the guitars and then get some sleep for the final day tomorrow...

Cheers

-Paul-

Hey guys. Just checking in in the early am of Sunday. It's been a grueling show. I've spent most of my time answering the quesiton, "what kind of wood is that" regarding Bob C's quilted Sapele. Not as much real "interest" as I had hoped but I agree with Davis in that I think people are totally overwhelmed by the second they walk in the door. Everyone needs a gimmick to get them to stop at their booth otherwise it's just another guitar no matter how nice they are. Which reminds me I've got to call the strippers and make sure they aren't late to the show today.
Lance, Brock left early this am so your best bet will be to contact him at home this afternoon/evening.
Kelby, sorry I missed you. Hope you stop by today.
I have taked zero, count 'em, zero pictures. Hopefully I can get away and do that today.
Talk to you all next week.
Oh, and yes it's true, NOBODY is speaking to Tim anymore. And if you want to be cool you won't either (those last two sentences should be read in the tone of voice of a 14 year old 8th grader with an attitude problem)

In my original post I forgot to mention that I got to know Howard a bit as well. He's just across the way from me so I have to look at his ugly/sloppy guitars all day. I don't know about Howard but his wife is nice.
