I thought I would share a little info about a set I got from Shane today.

It is graded AA. I presume because it has a small color band that runs from top to bottom. But it is perfectly symetrical, and in my opinion quite nice looking. It also has a knot shadow on one edge, but it is far outside my pattern. I get the sense Shane grades his wood very conservatively.

The grain is very tight, it is extremely stiff and when you tap it in literally sustains for 5 seconds.

Big Thumbs Up.

I got some AA and AAA stuff and already chimed in. Much like a lighter whiter color of Sitka this Lutz spruce. I did find it pleasing and wonder how it will sound. My AA material did have light streaking, about half to one third of what one might see in common grade Adirondack.
