John How and Michael Payne are working on a label Michael is going to make for the OLF guitar. Above you see the work completed to date, I just pulled the locations of the pics and relisted, not new uploads taking up space.

As Don Williams said in an earlier post the body is now enroute to Madison, Wisconsin for binding by Paul Woolson. Something popped up in the last post that wasn't even covered to date, a pick guard, specifically a Tortis.... which are expensive as pickguards go, around $30 to $35. Here is a chance for someone who wanted to get involved still.

We may need to assist with some shipping as it gets passed along, so that may be another place for someone to be included in the building activities/ festivities.... I want to thank everyone who's worked on or donated time, or cash, or helped in anyway on this unusual project to thank our friend Lance Kragenbrink for putting up the forum.

Nothing stays the same, the forum has changed with each passing month, it' inevitable. It's outgrown it's britches and needs 'room to grow', which Lance and Brock are seeing to it that those capabilities are provided. So thanks to both of you for your hard work behind the scenes.

It's not the MIMF, it's not the 13th Fret, but it is a great place to hang out and share what you are up to and watch others of like mind to do the same. For all you newcomers, welcome, and please jump in there and participate in the forum.

The Official Luthier's Forum, where students become teachers, and teachers become students of the great craft and art of luthery, because, we all have something to share, and we all have something to learn.Dickey38375.6419328704

Someone asked to see these pictures again.... Of course they are still on the forum. Use the search function to find an article that falls from the first page.

Bruce in my opinion this place is better that MIMF. Here we all get to know each other and each other's work this is the most freely informative luthiery forum out there. I have learned more in a year on this forum than I ever did any where else. and Lance is a God send. I don't know he does it, but I am Darn glad he does.

I agree with you both. This is a great place, and Lance should be proud of what he has done to create such a cool spot to hang out.

That OLF guitar is looking mighty fine!

Jeff

I must agree Jeff, it's looking fine. I wonder if we could talk Lance into sending this thing on a Round the OLF Tour so we could all put our fingerprints on the finish and crud up the strings?????

Not a chance guys!

Kidding of course! I think that would be cool, have it do the circuit, let everyone have a few days with it, get to see the fruits of your collaborated effort.

I think BobC is going to be finishing this baby and Tim McKinght has the final setup.
