Sorry John Kinnard, I thought the Falcon's would do this time, maybe all the way with Vick. I am a AFC guy and huge Denver fan. You guys are in great shape, not only some the best luthiers a great football team. Congrats on both. I have to get to the Newport Fest next year if a deal I am working on works out.

I'm sick of seeing the patriots win and they are running out of fingers for their rings. McNabb needs a ring! GO EAGLES

I really hope they win it all again. I'm a big McNabb fan, but my Pats are first on my list.
In the overall scheme of things, it really doesn't matter a whole lot does it?
I think of the folks in East Africa and India and Southeast Asia, and realize are football is so insignificant in comparison. Oh well, I guess all we can do is do what we can, and cheer for our pro athletes who make millions of dollars playing a game. Maybe they will give some of that money where it's really needed.

I've been a Pats fan for years. Since I knew my uncle played for them (Mosi Tatupu....my uncle by marriage... but hey I can claim him!) I've been a fan. I think we will go all the way!

Mosi Tatupu

Thats cool Not only a patriot in the family, a pretty famous one at that.

Hey Don I agree football probably won't save the world but the little bit of joy it brings makes it easier to deal with the bad.. And the NFL is active all over the country promoting health & education, volenteering and contributing to all sorts of causes.

Jason, that's certainly true. Perhaps more true of the NFL than any other professional sport. I think they understand the need to give back to the community. I don't want to minimalize the need for entertainment, which is where sports falls in our world, but after 9-11 I started taking it a little less seriously. Oh well, I guess I'm getting to be a stick in the mud. Sorry

GO PATS !Don W38376.2814930556

Just be glad your're not Detroit Lions fans. (sorry Lance) The Lions are a founding member of the NFL and have never played in the Superbowl. I grew up in Michigan and still keep tabs on them.

Since I left, however, I've been very good for the local teams. When I liven in the SF bay area, the Raiders played in a Superbowl and the 49ers played in 4 or 5. The As played in three World Series as did the Giants once. When I moved to New England, the Patriots came from nowhere to play in several Superbowl and the Sox broke the Curse.

Too bad I'm not a basketball fan. The Pistons were Terrible when I lived there. Since I moved away they've had some success winning several Championships. Where as the Golden State Warriors were terrible when I lived there and still are. The Celtics were great when I didn't live here and now they're awful. Same for hockey.Mike Mahar38376.4237152778

Thanks for the condolences Stan. I thought we might have a chance to go to the super bowl, but did not think that if that happened we could possibly beat New England. Anyway, considering we were 5 and 11 last year getting to the NFC playoffs was like playing with house money.
Falcons have a good organization now with Author Blank and I think that will pay long term dividends. Next year!
For now, I must root for the Eagles.
