I need to buy some sides to match this back wood. Either a flitch or up to three sets of sides. I would like the color to be a close match and the flame close to as intense. The sap wood is optional

I'm gone for the weekend but will be back on Monday to see if anyone has anything.

Thanks
John

Nasty photo! But it's obviously a cool piece of wood....

Ok, all kidding aside - if our fine sponsors dont step up with a solution, check with Bob Gleason, but I'm betting you already know that?

John - how is retirement treating you? Sure would love to make a visit down there one day and see your new home on the hill..

Hey Lance. When it's finished you are certainly welcome to come down. Right now the interior is a thicket of 2 x 4 studs and the "workshop" is a concrete slab with block walls. But withing the year or so I hope to be in. All OLFers are welcome to come hang out. I'll have a couple of extra bedrooms and the blue ridge is really close.

I don't know what happened to that picture. The file size shrank but the picture did not. I'll have to deal with that when I get home.

Steve, I am just looking for sides. This billet will probably make at least three nice backs, with judicious sawing, perhaps 4. Do you have some zooted up sides with similar coloration?

John,
Can you email me a better pic so I can get a good look at the color and curl?

Thanks,
Steve
