I will be there [Lord willing] and it should be a real blast. If there are any local GA folks please consider it. I would love to meet some OLF'rs there.

There is a thread on the APM about it.

I'll also try to make it. I live about 20 miles away as well.

The biggest threat to my attendance is my memory...

Hey John: That would be so cool to meet you or any other OLF'rs for that matter. I fly in Thursday around noon and then out Saturday around 3:oo PM. If you can't make it maybe I could arrange to swing by for a shop tour???

Can you PM me with directions out of the airport towards Doug's? I have the generic map from his site but is is a bit vague exiting the airport and a your insite would be real helpful. Thanks...

If you plan to attend you should send in your registration on Doug's page. He needs to know how many will be there so he can plan for food and such.

Hey Tim
What's the date on that thing. I spend a lot of weekends out of town working on my cabin.

John: It is a new prototype I am working on. It's a shallow depth Slope D body. Only 3-1/2" deep at the tail. I bent a set of MadRose sides and they cracked at the upper bout curve. They were going in the wood burner when Mary said why don't you just cut the body depth down and see what happens. So I set up the rip fence on the bandsaw and I eneded up with a "Skinny Slope" model. I thoght it would be very tinny and bright sounding without any bass but I have oodles of bass. Go figure, huh? I might have it done (I hope) in time for the Jam as I would like to get some feedback on it. Finding a case will be the next obstacle. Cedar Creek will probably be hearing from me soon ;)

Come on "Nancy Boy" get over it and be a MAN {hey, I am not that fond of airplanes either but I just bite the bullet and do it}. I figuure when God calls me home it doesn't matter what I am doing so I make the most of of it. I have just learned to look forward to the take offs (best part of flying) as they remind me of my youth cruising around in 1960's era muscle cars

Tim, I'm building two guitars for a man that is an Air Traffic Controller in NM, He flies all over the country, constantly. I plan to have a nice long talk with him someday soon about this. I'm sure he could dispel some of my fear.
My wife and I use to fly to Fl allot, my folks use to live in Brooksville, but over the last 10 years or so I have just gotten less and less comfortable with it to the point that the anticipation of flying puts a damper on any trip.
Ill get over it, I have to, the Kids want to hit Disney World next year.

Unfortunately I will be out of town most of that week, including the days of the jam. I hate that I won't get to hook up with you guys.

The jam sounds like fun. No-can-do this year but maybe in the future.
Tim, I think it will be very adventageous for you to be there. Those guys think the world of you. (I can't imagine why). There was a thread a little while ago basically saying "If you could have any guitar on the planet, what would it be", there were a couple of McKnights on that list. Great news!!!
Lance, I feel your pain in flying. I'm not afraid of crashing or anything (I'm sort of with Tim, when my time comes it really doesn't matter what I'm doing) but I can't stand being locked in a tank with loud rude people. Makes me nuts.
