I have been buying bone from several sources but the hardness is pretty sporatic. Anyone found a good source for "consistantly" hard bone? The Chinese bone seems to have a lot of variation.

well it is not actually pure bone, but John Mikelson sells some stuff that is
made from processed bone that is really hard and very consistent.
REALLY hard to tell any difference look and feel wise from std. Bone.

I just got a bunch from Christy at Chrislin. I didn't realize before that she has different grades. So this time I ordered the highest she has and it is awesome. It looks and feels like ivory. Very few pores. Might be worth checking out. I've got plenty if you only need a small amount I could spare some.

Hi Tim,
Not too long ago i purchased some saddle and nut blanks from one of those Vietnamesse dealers and the products, bone, were extremely hard and very nice.

Do you need some right now?
Are you out?
I can spare some if needed!!
I'm getting ready to place an order next week and I can include some with my order.
Let me know Brother.

Walter
