Trondheim, Norway. About halfway between...uh let's see...the sea and Sweden!
Believe it or not, I've been there. My step-father came from Trondheim, we spent 6 weeks over there back in '75. A beautiful place Norway.
Hey, that's pretty amazing! When are you coming back?! Look me up, we'll have a few Dahl's if they're still making it (local beer, big Oslo company bought it up, now they want to shut it down ). Funny thing, when I bought some koa wood from "Notable Woods" last year, the owner Burce Creps told me he had been here too. Small world.

Tell you what, Steve, sometimes it seems like we're that far-flung.

Ontario Canada.

The little town of Goderich which is on Lake Huron.

According to the queen (who visited a number of years ago) it is the prettiest town in Canada.
DennisLeahy: Not prying, but what on earth would make you leave James Island (beautiful place) for the Nort...uh, Duluth.

It had to be love, or money, or both. If love, please send photo of wife/girlfriend, etc. cause that has to be some woman!
Indeed, it was both love and money. My wife got a job offer she couldn't refuse, and I (having lived in Tiffin, OH; Denver-Boulder-Nederland-Central City, CO; San Diego-Ocean Beach-Huntington Beach, CA; Chicago-Lake In The Hills-McHenry, IL;, and Charleston (James Island), SC) thought "Oh what the heck, another adventure!"

Every time I am freezing my butt off, I think about my Canadian friends, and marvel at the thought that there's a WHOLE COUNTRY north of me!
Currently living in Amsterdam, The Netherlands...but originally from St. Louis (by way of Evergreen, Colorado).

I moved here to be closer to a Colier Row, a suburb of London!
Hey Russ, on our trip out west, we stopped in Evergreen, twice. That is a seriously beautiful spot of God's good earth. That view, when one tops the hill on I-70, right before the Evergreen exit, and gets the first real glimpse of the Rockies is simply stunning. I would never get tired of looking at such beauty. I bet you miss it...however rewarding your proximity to Collier Row.

If must have been a Saturday. They have a jam there every other Saturday. I bought my first "good" guitar there. A Martin SP000-16R. Gary, the owner, is one of the best BG banjo players around.

I fell in Love with a Left Handed Martin I was playing in the shop, managed to resist buying it while there, but then phoned him when I got back to England and bought it.

Should have bought it while I was there and saved the shipping

If you think Acoustic Outfitters has some nice stuff, you should check out the Vintage Fret Shop in Ashland, NH. They get some great instruments there. Last time I was in there, they had an oud and a guitarron. They even had one of those fiddles with the phonograph cone on it.

Springtown, TX, about 20 minutes northwest of Fort Worth.

Just common TX folks always up for good company. Especially if there's food involved. We're true Baptists here, food equals love around our house. Briskets on!

BTW, wouldn't it simplify things alot if everyone just put their location in their signature line?

From my back yard I can throw a rock across the Salmon Falls River to Rochester, New Hampshire. About 20 miles from the coast. I'm a transplant from Central Florida (26 years)

RUSSELR, Acoustic Outfiters in Exeter New Hampshire is a really neat place as you say. They were the first people to review my No.1 "Bess". They have an entire range of acoustic instruments inluding some from independent builders.
Great place!

And welcome Marcello. Hope you enjoy visiting here.
If you build, why not post a picture or two?

Hey Dennis, small world. That must be some kind of an adjustment to make.

Nope the Embers closed Larry. How long ago did you leave Mt. P, you would'nt recognize it now it's grown incredibly. DaleH38660.4228587963
