Could there be someone willing to help me? im bulding my first guitar and need help wiring if so please tell me!


neck pickup= humbucker (gibson 57 classic)
middle pickup= single coil (P-94R - Humbucker-Sized P-90 - Single Coil)
bridge pickup= humbucker (gibson 57 classic)
1 tone and volume to each pickup (500k pots, .22uf caps for tones) (no caps for the volume)
1 rotary switch

if anything is missing or need anything else please let me know, and no im not using a push-pull nob.

What do you want to do with the rotary switch? And what kind of rotary switch do you have?

john i want the rotary switch to be a pickup selector and i dont know what kind

Things can get complicated in a hurry if you start trying to get a lot of different 'combinations' - and some of them may not be that 'interesting'-sounding.... or what you had in mind.
Using one of the 'standard' setups from the Duncan site, or trying out some combos with the pickups in a cheap 'test guitar' might give you some ideas.

your right maybe i should just use a 5-way

the links dont quite have what i want, im talking 5-way switch, humbuckers for the bridge and neck (specifically Gibson 57 classic) and a single-coil for the middle (specifically Gibson P-94R - Humbucker-Sized P-90 - Single Coil) wired to 500k pots with .20 capacitors for the tone. and obviously a jack.

If you're not interested in running the humbuckers in single-coil/'split' mode, then you can just treat them like any single coil pickup - you'll have three pickups with two leads each- and one of the leads from each pickup will be connected to ground.

So the wiring becomes fairly simple.

I'm not sure about the output levels of your humbuckers and P-90 and how they will work when played together, but you will have a volume control on each pickup to help with that issue.

If you don't already own one, keep your eyes open for a cheap multimeter (needle-type- not digital). It's a big help in figuring out how switches work, and other 'troubleshooting' stuff.
It's not that complicated, really- you'll see!
