Wow, I was just thinking yesterday that Bruce Dickey's OLF map would now have to be a globe.

Welcome Max!! Hey, if you've never built a guitar before (and I haven't) you might want to quit NOW. Otherwise, just send me an email and I'll shoot you the gigantic list of tools you'll need to consider in order to get started.

Got plastic?

Hey Hank,

About your avatar -- I recognize the Corkscrew at Laguna Seca, but I'm having trouble identifying the white car in front. A Lotus, perhaps?

Best,

Michael

YES...the car in front is me in a 1959 Lotus Elite, followed by the blue Renault Alpine and an Aston Martin DB4...circa 1985 or so. You can see a bigger photo at bottom of page http://www.mauelguitars.com/ShopPhotos.htm
Great fun!

Cool! So, does right hand drive help at all on the corkscrew?

I used to do a lot of motorsports photography back in SoCal during the 80s and early 90s. Mostly at Riverside and Willow Springs. Never got to race, though, although I thought pretty seriously for a while about converting a Jensen Healey I owned into a GT-3 car. Decided it wasn't worth it, racing against Mazda RX-3s. Whew, brings back the memories.

Best,

Michael
