I'm considering rebuilding my workbench setup in my garage, and am wondering if anyone has a really cool setup they'd like to share pictures.

I'm sure theirs some really creative and cool benches out there, from what I've seen in this forum! I'd like to tap into that, if I'm able, as I redesign my workbench area.

If anybody made theirs from written plans, would you mind posting a link?

i dont have any pictures, but mine is pretty basic, its essentially a big "U" that borders half my shop. my main advice if your not wanting to get to complicated is to make it good and heavy. i have ash tops on mine instead of plywood so its really hard, and the benches dont move much. other suggestion if you are making your own work bench is to put it at the height that you like to work. for some stupid reason all the premanufactured benches i have ever had are like 3.5 ft. tall. i however am 6'3" so i made my benches i think around 4.5 ft. keeps my back from getting so soar, gives you more storage space underneath and is just all around a better setup i think.

This is a pic of my upstairs workbench

Fir bench, 12 drawers, with 8 strings running under the top that resonate in sympathetic harmony to what ever me building.

Think thats trippy?

Why not check out my whole shop? Well its really only half of my shop, the break out shop and big machines are down stairs in the dungeons of this sacred institution.

Here's a bench I built (well, it was with help from Mark Groza). There is plenty of storage there and the area between the top and the bottom also functions as a go deck.

no pics here, but i made a couple of tables the same height as my table saw, and made 3- 3'x5'x12" deep shelves, that are on wheels, so i can move em around.
knock down as well, so when i move again they wont take up much space.
me got's a 12'x12' space now, so i'm tight in der.
just sold my gunsafe (actually a guitar safe) and my ole 14" rockwell bandsaw.
more room in my shop now!
padma, you are amazing.
we got's 3 lil white dawgs.

Thanx for the pictures guys!
I think I'm gonna have Padma build me a workshop with a bench that has a built in go-bar deck above it, and I need a bench dog! I wonder if they make a miniature Golden Retriever.......
If not, I guess I'll just have to use my full size Retriever as a bench dog.
Thanx for the responses!
