This is my very first time trying to put together a guitar. I scavenged a chibanez body and an authentic ibanez RG370DX neck. I would like to know what sort of tremolos can fit on the cavity?

Any feedbacks would be greatly appreciated!

That appears to be a Floyd Rose Tremolo, as far as I know they are all standard but you can check stew mac and make sure the post spacing is correct.

that takes ibanez floyd... here is a list of bridges that would work

edge pro bridge
edge 3 bridge
OFR (original floyd rose)
schaller or gotoh floyd rose

make sure sure you don't get a cheap pot metal bridge :D

Thanks! So since you guys all suggested different once. Does that mean tremolos (rather than the strat styled and other once) are of the same cavity and height?

Is there any indicators that the trems may not be working properly? Say the trem is sitting too high up on the guitar and so on.

I have a general idea of what to do... Putting a straight edge flat on the neck and checking the height would probably tell me if it's okay or not right?

Thanks for all the help!

it all has to do with the shape of the cavity... some ibanez bodies have various shapes... its all about which one fits , which one you can afford, and wich one is best

here is an ibanez trem guide :D

http://www.jemsite.com/jem/trems.htm

oh and one more thing... i would recommend putting some thin piece of foam on the top part of the cavity this way the trem won't ruin the body... it shouldn't affect the sound much when you do that :D
