Anyone know where to get buttons for old desintigrating tuners for a restore?
A friend wants to replace the tuners on an old supro lap steel.
I'm thinking just get new buttons, or make wood ones.

No I haven't.
I'll probably just make some ebony ones.
I will see if I can find them elsewhere, as well.

Yeah, stew-mac carries plastic buttons for replacing old disintegrating ones.

Thanks Joe.
I'm still thinking about that sweet acoustic you finished.

I reshaped some newer style plastic buttons, with a file and sand paper into, the old style, small oval, kluson shape. It worked out nice.
