Hi,

I was trying to glue up the cross supports on my latest guitar, and I use clamps, not a go-deck.

I was trying to get my clamping cauls for the outside of the guitar to hold in position. So what I did was use some double-sticky sided tape to tape the cauls to the clamps. Not the guitar back. Bingo.

I do something very similar when gluing a bridge.
I use 3 cauls inside the guitar and place a small piece of two sided tape that holds the caul to the clamp while I get it in proper position.
