Seriously, Stuart. Aside from being a gorgeous guitar, it's completely unique. I've never seen anything quite like it in many respects. The wow factor is huge. I'd love to hear some sound clips when it's all strung up

P-rails, YESSSSSS!!!
You should get those rings from Seymour Duncan and adapt the switching system to your
Paudauk (bloodwood, something else?) pickup rings for some really kick*&s tones.

Really cool looking guitar!
Paudauk/Maple is one of my favorite combinations.

p-90s with a strat type single coil?

Thanks Alan, this model is "Elise"....I tried to make it female but my wife says it looks like seaweed.

Those are Seymour Duncan SHPR-1P....p-rails. The coil splitters on each p/u allow for a BIG sound range since there are a myriad of combinations between the p-90, the rail, and the standard three way switch. I have a friend that has this same setup on a Stinnett guitar....and it really does sing. I hope my intuition is correct and that building a light, resonant body will open the tonal range up even more (the Stinnett is a solid body)....but that's just a guess until I string this up.

I'm doing the finish this week.

Beautiful work. I need to stop toying with the idea of getting a CNC rig... There is no way I could focus on my day job.

I have the guitar baking in an oven right now but when it's done I'll get some nice shots of everything.

I had some pretty pronouced glue lines on the front of the body due to the angle of the cut. I was pretty worried about it when I first saw them but they were very much mitigated by the finish. It really does look nice after the epoxy wash coats and the first few coats of nitro.
