Hi, I found this bass online and I nearly fainted because I LOVE Pink Floyd. All I need to know is if its good, since virtually no music store in my area has this bass. Does it feel and sound similar to a regular P bass? I've tried out the P bass and I liked it. Does it really have similar tone to bass in Pink Floyd songs, and is that tone versatile. Thanks so much!!

A huge part of any 'tone' is the amp (and effects) it's plugged into. The 'Roger Waters' model looks like a standard P-bass with a brass nut and Seymour Duncan quater pounder P-bass pickup. Don't get me wrong, I quite love the P-bass in terms of tone, but it's a very, very simple instrument. It's the telecaster of basses, in a sense; relatively simple, but also oh-so-versatile.
