I put some pictures of the OM style I build for my son Milan on Youtube.
Because it's after the OLF plans I feel it should be shown here.
-European sycamore sides, back and neck,
-alpine spruce top,
-US maple for the binding, end graft and head plate.
-Pau Ferro for the fingerboard and the bridge.
The IRW rosette is a buyer from Madinter in Spain

Very, very nice. Looks great. I just love the look of maple and with the maple neck it is very clean. Nice.

The name catgut is confusing. There are two explanations for the mix up.

Catgut is an abbreviation of the word cattle gut. Gut strings are made from sheep or goat intestines, in the past even from horse, mule or donkey intestines.

Otherwise it could be from the word kitgut or kitstring. Kit meant fiddle, not kitten.
