I’m pleased to finally be able to post some well recorded sound samples on my web site.
www.guitarsbydavidlaplante.com
These were recorded live last fall at the Woodstock Invitational Luthier’s festival by guitarist David Temple.
The guitar is my #92 made in German spruce and Brazilian Rosewood.
Just click on the sound sample boxes below the photo of David.
I hope you enjoy them.

Best!

Those are great!
Thank you for posting them.
I do have an issue with sound samples though.I do some recording, and it seems everything sounds good.
Comparisons would be nice.
I plan to do sound samples with my first 5 or six gits,
with the same mic, and put that out there.
Nice job!

Those sound great David! I've never played classical for more than just maybe 20 minutes at the music store but I'm about to finish one. Now I know what my 96th classical should hopefully sound like. You do great work! [:Y:] [:Y:]

Thanks guys,
Alan, I know what you mean about recordings. With today's digital technology one can make anything sound like anything.
The fact that these were recorded live and in one take (note the audence chatter etc.) I felt at least would give them more credibility as to what my guitars really sound like than a studio recording.
I also gave no direction to the engineer whatsoever as far as EQ or effects, I just asked to have the cuts edited into tracks as well as made into MP3s.

David, that guitar sounds fabulous, it has the richness of tone that brings out the sense of the Sun in the Spanish Ballad. Great playing as well. You truly are one of the high end builders and it would have been a privilege to have played one of your instruments.

Those samples sound great ! I had the chance to hear Paul Asbell play one of your guitars in concert....I can still remember how deeply impressed I was with the sound.

I enjoyed that link for two reasons . The guitar sounds great, and I once learned that Pernambuco piece and had forgotten all about it!
