In the past couple of days I have read and participated in strings that the main underling issue was either over concern with hazardous materials or the some what impatient desire to cut time out of some process. With out meaning any disrespect to any of my great friends and fellow forumites. I have to say , and with some regret that I have been on some of the same crusades in my time as well. However I have found that if I take proper care when handling hazardous material. I can safely work with the best finishes available. Secondly I have learned that I must always slow down and be diligent. Remember the most efficient way to do a job is seldom the fastest way to do the job. A quality finished product is worth 100 fold the time saved on a mediocre finished product. This is lesson I am learning every day. AS I stated in a post today I often search for the most efficient way to preform a task, but I keep in mind that old saying "Speed Kills". S-L-O-W D-O-W-N BE SAFE AND DO GOOD WORK. Good post. I believe it was Mario that said it is what sets small shops apart from the factories. We can and should take the time to do things that they don't. It is good though that everyone is taking into consideration personal safety. There are lots of builders that would still be around today if they had done the same.

My thoughts precisely. It's not a race, take your time, look at it, measure it, have a glass of Talisker single malt whisky, then look at it again. Oh! and don't over complicate it, all it is, is cutting, bending, and glueing bits of wood together, it's not rocket science after all!   What did they say before there was rocket science?
