I just received my most recent order from Colonial Tonewoods. Among the items is a ziricote matched fretboard, bridge blank, and headplate set. As usual, Steve's product is of the highest quality. And more than fairly priced. This set is going on an extra special instrument. In fact, I'm pairing it up with a fine ziricote parlor set that also came from Colonial.
One of the features I really like about Steve--and Bob C's crew (and Todd, also) is that one can view the actual items offered before purchasing them. Enough gushing; time to make more sawdust.

I know, right? I was just thinking the same thing this morning as I was thumbing through an LMI catalog. Paying exorbitant prices not knowing what you will get.

I love LMI, I just don't like being able to not see what you get until it gets there.

He is probably just redoing some web stuff. I ordered from him last week.

I highly recommended him too. Great wood. Great service.

According to whois ( http://www.whois.net/whois/colonialtonewoods.com ), their domain name expired on the 7th of April.

Somebody forgot to pay the renewal fee for the domain. I thought I typed the address wrong at first.

I come from Australia every couple of years and visit Steve (and BobC) so I'll agree with Todd the trip to the backwoods of Virginia is absolutely worth the trip.

I used the GPS to find his place last year and ended up in the middle of the backwoods, half expecting to be assailed by banjo players sqealing like pigs.

Regards
