I'm looking for the ones that LMI sells (see the photo below) preferably in maple. LMI only has walnut, koa, and lacewood. Thanks in advance for any leads.

Ron,

I make my own also using jig that is used to route channel. If i could figure out how to post a picture i would. I'm technically challenged, especially when the kids are at school!

Probably a stupid question, but where do you get your wood to cut the ring from. Do you resaw from a flatsawn board?
thanks, Mike

Hi Mike,
When you figure out how to post a picture of your jig I would love to see It. I'm sure they are easy to make, but I just wanted something quick. I used the lmi rosettes before, but this time around I would like maple which they don't make

Alternatively you can use a circle cutter in a drill press... $10 and 5 minutes later.....

Easiest thing to do is to buy a couple of pieces that are sold as headplates, join them together and like the others have said, use the same circle cutter you use to route the channel. You could also use some scrap from a B&S set if you happen to have it lying around.
