I need your opinions/suggestions....

I was hoping to build a solid body guitar out of a billet of Purplewood.
As I planed the billet down to the desired thickness, I noticed that I got into an area where there seems to be some sizable cracks in the wood. See the picture.

Are these cracks too deep and/or wide to use to make a solid body guitar?
They are approximately 2" long and appear to go down into the billet (depth?).

Should I continue with the build or should abort the build?

I am a rank amateur builder, but I'd say it looks OK to me. Just make sure you get those cracks filled with pore filler and I think it'll be fine.

Are the cracks in the middle of the blank if so try and put a pickup there to get rid of the cracks completely, if not try to see if you can orientate the body shape to see if you can cut them out, if the cracks are only on one side then maybe you could use a control cavity to hide them...

That looks like wind shake. You should remove that and probably at least 2" of wood away from it.

wind shake:
a condition of timber in which there is separation of the concentric rings, supposedly due to strain from strong winds during growth.
