I am looking for a wholesale seller of a 10/32 allen head truss rod nut that is
about 3/4" long. I have been unable to locate this from MSC, etc. although I
may be looking in the wrong place. LMI has what I want at $3.55 each but I
want 100 at a time and $3.55+ each is just too pricey for me! Can anybody
help?

Sylvan,

I sell some that are custom made. They are a bit shorter at 5/8 inch but are 10/32 thread and use a 3/16 hex key. If you were buying 100 I could sell for the same as Stew Mac, well maybe a couple cents cheaper at $2.35 and it includes a nice brass washer. Here is a picture of the nut and of it on a rod with a hex key inserted.



Hope this gives you another useful option.

You bet, just e-mail or PM me if you think you want some. They are quite nice! I think that the allen key is bit larger on these ones compared to the Stew Mac ones, that helps out also.

A couple of years ago I got some 10 X 32 1/4" hex nuts online.I forget the name of the company, but they sent me a dozen for samples. If you Google "Hex Standoff Spacers" you will get all kinds of choices. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the thought but the truss rod design I want to try with my
instruments mandates that it be adjusted with an allen wrench. The spacers I
think you are talking about would work great if I could get a wrench on them
to adjust but I cannot. An allen wrench through a hole in the transverse
brace is all I've got to work with!
