guys name is Jake Shimabukuro. One of, if not the, most well known uke players (well next to harrison). To say he has mastery of his instrument is an understatment to be sure.John Mayes38692.0828356482

That was absolutly amazing. What a great tributr to a man who loved and played the ukulele as much as his guitar.

He just played at the college I work at last month. They call him the Jimmi Hendrix of the Uke... very cool.

There was also a feature on him in the November Vintage Guitar mag.

They worked fine for me at my office PC; don't know what the trouble could be. You need to have the Quicktime media player browser plugin installed to play the videos.

Anyway, the site is www.ukuleledisco.com and the Jake Shimabukuro videos are in the "Season 4" listing. TomS38692.6943287037

Jake Shimabukuro will be performing on the Conan TV show on December 13th. If you have never seen Jake play this would be a great opportunity to see an excellent musician.

I forgot to mention that maybe more of you should pay attention to the continued rise of interest in high quality ukuleles. Some of the best builders won’t even take any more orders and those that do have quite a long wait for delivery. You might also note that John Mayes is building a fine reputation with his ukuleles.
