OK guys - here is todays progress -

Here are the sides as they came from the Zootman -



Here they are marked and wet, getting folded in foil.


Now there loaded in the bender and bent -





Here the sides are in the form, end block is glued in, and the neck block is next.
Hope you enjoyed the play by play! Ill have more pictures when the kerfing goes in. Hopefully tomorrow.

Yep - Ive always been gunshy about profiling first, fearing that the waist will fall in the wrong spot. So Ive always bent first and planed the profile in. Not a biggie, as Ill just trace the side shape on to the side and shave it down, takes about 10 minutes.LanceK38697.2860069444

Lance...I agree with your rationale. I've used that method and should have stayed with it. Had I done so, I wouldn't have screwed up my last bend. Planing to a pre-marked profile is simple...being off by 1 inch at the waist can be problematic...and I'm still not sure if it can be corrected.
