So, for anyone who's been to the ASIA conference before, where/when should I be spending my money? I understand that there will be tonewood/tooling/everything suppliers there, and I'm looking forward to picking up some great wood, but what's going to be up for grabs on the Saturday evening auction? More wood? More tools?

Where are the best deals? What kind of things come up at the auction?

Enquiring minds need to know :-)

Thanks

Steve

Steve, If you see something you would like to buy during the days leading up to the Saturday night auction, I suggest you do so. The auction on Saturday is a blast but is really more about raising funds for the ASIA association. That is not so say that you might score a great deal on something but be mindful that the bidding is fierce!

+1 - I found some good deals on Saturday night, but Joe's right - it's about raising funds for ASIA.

Whole lot of great sets from the vendors - but I know I'm going to set a budget or I'll be in big trouble....

The bar (Dansbury Depot) burned to the ground apparently. That will add to a few of fellows funds! Bummer about the Tavern.

Having attended most of these over the years I can say with confidence that you will spend more than you anticipated, but only because of all the good deals and unique stuff!

Awwwww CRAP!!! That is bad news. The Depot was a great place to wrap up each day and chat with everyone. It will be missed this year for sure. :(

Too bad about the Depot! Still much fun will be had by all, I am sure. We (LMI) will be there with loads of cool stuff -all discounted, as will other vendors. Bring your credit card! -Chris
