I am interested in purchasing a couple of sets of Waverly tuners (gold, basic style) from Stew Mac
The price on 6 is about $27 cheaper each in lots of 6.
Anyone interested in this, or is there another source that would come close to this price. For me, $27 seems like a good savings. thanks, Tom Harbin

Isn't StewMac the exclusive source for Waverlies? I've never seen them for sale anywhere else...

If it would sweeten the deal, I'd like in on a set of the snakewood as well.

I would also be in for a set or two of teh nickel with ebony knobs

Actually, if I can find 4 more people who want the Nickel with Ebony knobs, I will take care of that order. Maybe its a good idea a bunch of us handle certain ones so that one person doesn't end up coordinating 6 different styles?FrankC38707.5554513889

I spoke with Jamie at Stew Mac and the builders sheet price is for builders that build 15 or so guitars a year and have business type credentials; web site, brochure and are evaluated on an individual basis. Seems like for us the 6 rate is our best option. By the way, the 6 rate is for 6 of one type. I will let this run and try to keep a tab. I will be glad to organize this and charge my cost plus shipping, probably priority plus insurance. All you guys have been a great help to me, I'll go out on a limb and pay for them once we see how many we need. thanks, tom

update on the order.
I appreciate Frank C offering to take care of the nickel with ebony, that sounds good to me. so I will take care of the standard gold (4060-G) and the gold with snakewood buttons(4071-G). I'll watch the numbers until after xmas, then post a final tally. I'll be ordering a couple of 4060's and one of the 4071-G's. thanks to everyone! Tom Harbin

Thanks Frank C

FrankC

I sent you a PM. I'm in for at least one set of nickel/ebony if you don't mind shipping to Canada. I might even make it 2. I have to give it some thought.

Josh

Hesh:

I am also in for one set on snakewood waverly's so that is six. I will still wait until after Christmas, since we are at six, all others will be at the same price.
I like the idea of regular group buys too. right now I have the following in for a set of the 4071-G tuners:
Lance K, Hesh1956, Frank C, Wade S, Tom Dowey and myself. I hope we can get more on the 'plain' 4060-G since I would like to have a couple for myself, so far only JJ is in for those.
thanks OLFers
Tom H

I believe we should discuss a potential discount with the top Dog not someone who is reading the catalog rules which anyone can interpret....that's no deal!!!

First of all we should calculate the number of sets we want to buy. Second, find out who is the Top Dog and negotiate with that person and forget the catalog rules of 6 pc deal.

A large purchase is a large purchase. It should not make any difference which models we are selecting. The only thing that matters is the total amount of tuners we are buying.

We have to hold on to our guns no matter what!!

Walter

Russell, that's like walking into a dept. store or auto dealership, and demanding the manager show you the actual costs of the items. Not supposed to happen. I wont say it is so in this case, but some wholesalers and distributors will cut your account if you reveal the wholesale prices to the public.

Walter, nice try, but I order more Waves at a time than y'all do in this group buy, and I have no dickering power. Price is the price. If they started dickering prices with me, one on one, then the next guy asking for better would get it also, and so forth. You're not dealing with the neighborhood butcher here who can give you a great deal on a roast....

Remember that guys like Collings use these on every model. Your order will still be tiny....

Hi Mario

You get me wrong, I was not asking Tim what the actual prices are, was just interested what the sheet was. As I was under the impression Stewmac offer bulk discounts only. No Trade Terms.

Count me in on 1 set of gold with snakewood buttons. I need the tuner set for slotted head model neck.
Let me know about the details.

Thank you very much,

Hi Walter:

You're the first to want a set for slotted head.
I have you down, but need a few more that want this model (4098-G) to get a discount.
thanks, Tom H

Just wanted to bump this back up on the view list.\
Right now, I have 6 of us including myself for a set of the 4071-G (snakewood buttons) to get us the 6 set discount. JJ is the only one so far to want a set of the 4060-G, I plan on ordering one set, but we need another one to get the 3 set discount, come on guys, aren't there 4 more of you? Also Walter K wants a set of the 4098-G. Again, I will order Wednesday evening, the 28th after I get home from work, around 6pm CST.
Thanks, Tom Harbin

Tom, I'll be glad to go in on the 4060-G. I'll buy 1 set and am willing to buy 2 if we can get it up to the 6 unit discount.

Thanks Don:

I plan on buying one, so that is 3, including JJ.
I also will buy two if necessary. If we can find one more, and I bet we will. If there are others, I like you will just get one. Still counting, Tom H
