i'm not clear on this, but it seems: the soundboard is uniform thickness, and thin. the braces are rounded in the solera. the soundboard gets mashed into the solera by force(go-bar deck or other method), and glued to the round braces, forming a domed top.
is this about right....?

Classical or Steel String?

Assuming classical:

I radius the fan braces and glue them onto a radiused solera using a go-bar deck.

I have seen proceedures where the solera is radiused 50-100% deeper than the desired dome and non radiused braces are used. Spring back is expected

I have also seen classicals built on a flat solera with non radiused braces, with the idea that the string tension and time will dome a lightly braced classical guitar.

ok, so in other words, the soundboard is basically not shaped by carving or scraping then. kinda what i thought.
i would hate to rely on tension to pull things into the correct shape, seems very hit or miss!

the sound board is not shaped to make the dome on a classical, it is basically a flat plate.

Many classical tops are pressed into the dome of the solera with straight fan braces that spring the top into a dome. A few use pre shaped braces, but I think it's more the exception than the rule. Hauser types are pulled into a dome with the bridge. Then, some are built totally flat. You get to pick, but I suggest following your plan if it doesn't tell you, then some additional research is in order.
