Hi Shane, i just want to let you know that today, the 16th of January 2006 is one of the best days of my young life! Is this Chrismas already ?

Man, i don't remember being excited like this before, carefully wrapped, woderful looking and stiff, the grain is tight. It's so beautiful, you should see the smile on my face buddy, it's so large and bright that you'd be able to see it under 12 feet of snow!

I'm really proud of my sets and will be taking good care of them !

Thanks again for your patience over the phone, you really are a man of your word and just for that my friend, you'll always have my respect!

Highest Regards

Serge
P.S. Sorry folks, I just received my wood, pictures will follow later!

Serge, you gotta be very, very careful now; you've just had your first 'fix' of tonewood. The next is surely not far behind, and the end nowhere in sight. Take me, f'r instance; 2 years ago today, I had a few small bits and boards for electric guitars, enough for maybe one. Then I bought wood for 3 acoustics. Built my first in May/June/July of that year. Most of the second was built soon after that (and then went on-hold for a year due to a wedding guitar that needed building). After that first guitar, I found this place. And BobC. And Ed Dicks. And Steve Roberson.

Fast-forwarding a little, last count revealed I have 34 acoustic tops (Sitka, Engelmann, Italian, WRC, Redwood), 38 sets of backs/sides (in about 12-14 different species, and another 5-10 coming), couple of mahogany boards for necks, an even 55 fingerboards (madagascan rosewood, ebony and EIR), about 80 bridge blanks (madagascan, indian, one ebony), just under 100 headplate veneers, bindings in various shapes and sizes, bulk orders of purflings and bridge pins, bridge and nut blanks by the handful, and let's not mention the 15 or so electric guitar tops (mostly maple), the black limba body blanks, and the three cocobolo neck blanks, shall we?

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm waiting for some eBay auctions to end...

Mattia is right, you'll soon be totally addicted ... a post with a complete list will be too long from this side of the planet.

Nothing better than a small (not too small) personal wood supply to to keep your shop alive

Sweet!

Although, dammit, I'm suddenly reminded I don't have any sets of EIR in my stash that aren't spoken for. And I do quite love the stuff!
