Hey Bruce,
You've got some interesting data there. Not only did you turn up some interesting numbers, but your data points to the importance of using one brand of strings when setting intonation, and then staying with that brand. That anomoly is interesting too. Setting intonation using that one and then putting on a new set would really mess with your head.

BTW, I agree with Steve. If you could find some big implosion to show the judges, you would win for sure. Just don't poke out an eye.

Learning is fun, especially if you are doing it with a worthy subject.

Now on to the paperwork, and backdrop, 'splaining it all. You know what they say, no job is finished until the paper work is done.
Allen, there is still a good 2 months till my daughters science fair so right now she is trying to "find the question" and devise the investigation. Last year she won both the local and regional science fairs (couldn't aford the $2000 to go to the provincials) so she has a lot to live up to. She is also thinking about trying to find out if "fish have only a 5 second memory" as her teacher told her. But she thinks it would be cool to do something related to dads work. She is also thinking of the question "is a glue joint stronger than the wood" and then look at different kinds of glue under different types of onditions.
On the fish having a 5 second memory thing...there is an episode of "Mythbusters" (Discovery Channel) where they tested this, and showed fish have a longer term memory. You might want to try finding the episosode!
