Tom
I cannot believe... such an enormous price for a piece of spruce. Ok, Ok... it's for the OLF but this is 3 times the price I normally sell those tops. The wood has been already shipped to Lance but I'll feel better if you will accept a couple more set as a personal gift.
Send me your address and I'll be able to sleep serene again

Best regards - Luigi

I bought two of the spruce tops in the last OLF auction, and they are magnificent. A few days after, I received the above message from Luigi. Just wanted folks to hear again, how great Luigi is, not only supplies a great product to us, but, I was blown away by his kindness to me! I knowingly paid high for the tops, but I do like to support the OLF when I can. I am sure that I would not have been able to build like I have so far had I not have had the help available here on this forum.

Thanks Luigi and everyone here!

Tom Harbin

I got pretty much the same message from him, but I didn't want to say anything just in case

Did you receive your tops yet Tom? I am very pleased with the one I got, and I'm going to use it for my own personal instrument (once I can afford to own one!).

Luigi is a great guy, and its great to know someone who loves spruce as much as I do.

They don't come any nicer than Luigi He has a heart of gold, a sense of humor bigger than all of us, and every thing else good you can think of.

Besides some nice wood, I have been able to taste some really good Italian pasta here in Northern Minnesota

Thanks, Luigi for all you do for all of us.

Now it is time for me to send something your way

Grant

My best friend of ten years was Italian. He came here working with Nuclear Power, but finally moved away. We were fishing buddies. And boy, could Guido cook.

Thank you all guys, I'm blushing quite red

Luigi (or ggdelazzer) is in Italy, under pressure with his real job (anesthesiologist). He does not sell spruce tops normally but since he had the feeling somebody here could have been be interested he's doing his best trying to find something good for the fellow OLFers here. He's learning lots of things on this forum and he loves you all guys.

His website www.guitarbuilding.it (beg your pardon Lance and Brock, this is not a promotional trick) is still under construction so no use to check yet . It won't be a commercial site but an open luthery webspace; he's working on it. He would greatly appreciate a sort of contribution from you all sisters and brothers. You can contact him privately if you'd like to upgrade your italian.

gg's executive secretary

Hey Lance, may Luigi add his bio to OLFers' page?

Thank you all again buddies
