OK. I'll be the one that stoops to Lance's level. Will Ferrell playing the cow
bell on SNL? Some people will use any cheap trick to get attention! I have
to admit, it was a very funny shtick. I just noticed it this morning, but how
long has it been your avatar?

Ok... you saw it as a skit... I am getting it.

I saw him actually do this with a band during their song. I think Will was the host.

Chistopher Walken was the host. Yes it was a skit done during the show with a fake BOC band. The band was composed of other SNL Players, Jimmy Fallon, Chris Parnell etc.

This is totally different.

What I saw was him get up on stage while the band was playing (I am almost certain it was Korn) and do this. They were visibly annoyed and that made it all the funnier.

Brock I think this became one of Will Ferrell's recurring characters. Kind of like Belushi in the bumble bee outfit.

Excellent WarrenG - brings it all back!

Most recently I saw Ferrel doing the cowbell thing on SNL with the band "Queens of the Stone Age". Crazy band and good music (in short bursts). Not an acoustic guitar for miles from THAT band.
I was crying from laughing. Big wig, very serious / self-aggrandizing. He'd bang the cowbells over his head and his white belly would poke out from under his sweater and jiggle. Don't know if he planned that but MAN, it just took it over the top. TOOOOO Funny!ATaylor38736.8366319444
