I got two sets of those tuners for flat pegheads - a bargain for sure.

Shhhh...keep that to yourself or all of a sudden they'll be "worth" $80 instead of $45 or so! wow7-eyes

Still on track to be picking on it this weekend. Got the bridge mounted....

and the pins and saddle blank fitted....

Nut is roughed in, but I'm going to have to trim the tuner shafts a little given that the headstock is so narrow (which I dearly love about this guitar)

It's finished!! bliss At least I have something to show when judging time rolls around. I'll spend the next two weeks tweaking and polishing. Got some frets to crown and polish, and the action to fine-tune, but that's it. The sound is already starting to come up a bit. I LOVE it... This is the guitar I was trying to build when I built my first.
Thanks for all the support.... The pictures for judging will be much more refined, and show off the nuances of the guitar....

Looks great. I really like the top and the pyramid bridge. [:Y:]

Jaybird, does your last post have pictures? They aren't loading here for some reason.

Peter,
Pictures are loading fine on this side of the pond... Say hello to Cymru for me. My best friend married a girl from Barry--the wedding was unbelievable...

It's a small world isn't it! I think I'd prefer being in Texas -much too cold a wet here for my liking.
Your post on 3rd December has the pictures, but there are no more after that.

Edit: Ok it's just google chrome playing up. Works fine on IE.

All done.... Not so bad for guitar number 2. I wish my playing/recording skills were better. The guitar sounds better in person than in the vid....

Hey, Jay, that's a real nice guitar and I love its sound. I've never had any experience with parlor guitars, but I'm real impressed with those that are being built for this challenge. Very nice video, too. Video production is a topic I actually know something about. Nice job all the way around!

Nice video and I like the guitar too! Volume was pretty low but liked what I could hear too.

Patrick,

I wish I had some real video/audio production skills. Moviemaker is my friend....

Tony,

Glad you're a fan of Ralph the Wonderllama--makes me smile.

@Steve,

That's weird about the volume.... Anyone else experiencing low volume on my vid?

Thanks all!!!

I'm starting to lose track of what I have said in post and what I have just thought to myself. I may be repeating myself, but this is a wonderfull instrument all around!

That's a lovely little parlor! I have a thing for smaller guitars. You should be very proud.
