Thanks for the compliments, guys. Here you go, Clinchriver. I will definitely be making a rig similar to Dan Miller's for thicknessing binding strips. In the interest of full disclosure, this logo is for #3. Stephen Zigenfuss did a couple of logos for me on his cnc and I put the overlay on my #2 neck without thinking. #3 has a longer scale length, so I can't just switch necks. Also, the cnc couldn't go quite as small and detailed as I wanted, so from here on I will be doing them all by hand. I also like doing it and it adds another crafty element to the build.

That is an impressive job cutting out the pearl. I am not as good, but I can cut out broken circles, broken sticks, and I specialize in large slabs or irregular shapes. They look very similar to how shell blanks ship, but don't be confused.

On #1, I made a pig's ear of the neck joint. This one is much better.

I really want one of them neck angle jigs. Where did you get the plans for yours?

No plans, just made it up on the fly. Not too complicated. The inner piece that the neck is clamped to is hinged to the top and there are slots at the bottom of the outsides where the knobs are. There is a channel in the center piece that has a maple strip for the truss rod slot. The plastic mortise and tenon templates that Stewmac/LMI sell look kind of flimsy to me, so I made this one using 3/8" aluminum.

It all looks good to me, but those last shots with your logo sawn out...now that just killed me. I would never have attempted such a thing. My hat is off to you. I want to see how you rout the inlay channels for it. Excellent, excellent work, man!

Thank you, Patrick! I was surprised that I didn't break the MOP, it is much stronger than I thought and it wasn't glued to any sort of backer. I'm still sorting out my inlay rig and have a few options. I have couple of flexible shaft rigs, a GraverMax with the high-speed rotary handpiece (this is probably what I'll use but I'm having trouble finding 1/16" bits for it) and an assortment of Dremels. I'll be sure to post some pics when I get it figured out.

Ok I think I gotcha with the neck part. How do you know when you have it at the correct angle? And do you use this to do the mortise on the body also? If so how do you clamp it in? And thanks for sharing I think I will build me one of these.

The aluminum angle "iron" that goes through the top of the jig helps determine the angle. Look up Robbie O'Brien's YouTube tutorial on this type of jig. I have a separate jig for the mortise.

I don't know if this is necessary or advisable, but I decided to put this little block on the fretboard to keep the truss rod from moving. Probably not needed once the neck has the proper relief.

When I look at the heel on my Collings D2H, it reminds me of a woman's stiletto shoe. It's just plain sexy. That is the shape that I have tried to emulate here. It also reminds me of the spokes on a vintage American Torque Thrust wheel. All good things.

Here is the mortise jig. I decided against the two-in-one mortise and tenon jig so I could make this one longer, which allows the cradle and a centerline reference at the bottom.
