H1058 - Mountain cowboy
Acoustic flatop - Stenciled on natural wood
Production year(s) : 1947
(other years possible, not verified)
Stenciled mountain scene with a couple, the guy playing guitar. This H1058 was branded Bob West and distributed by the "Bob West Guitar co." in Chicago, as evidenced in a 1947 catalog. (it looks like the only model specifically branded "Bob West", other guitars in same catalog wears the Harmony brand).

This was given to me by My sister inlaw to redo .... It was given to her mother at the age of 10 .. The story is that she never played it but kept it in the orig box and after many years put it in a plastic bag in storage . Obviously Humidity did its trick . Now I have a very nice 66 yr old guitar that is in pieces . I have to get a nut , a saddle and a fret board ... somehow the fret board got broken ? I will post pics of the repair as I go alone . What I have now is as Follows:

That's cool! Makes me want to make a stencil art cowboy guitar. Seems to be in very good shape, except for all the glue letting go...
