Does anyone know how to get in touch with guitarmakers connections. I googled it, found an email address, but my email got bounced back.
Cheers
Matt

Anyone? Boy, I seem to be asking a lot of questions that are either un-answerable or just considered beneath the expertise of what is obviously a select group of artisans. I hope the former not the latter. I really look up to you gentlemen; a group of artists who ply their trade in ways that companies look to emulate. I hope as a craftsman myself, to someday be accepted into a group of artists such as this one day. Please don't take my questions as a sign of someone who has nothing better to do than to bother people. My ignorance is the impetus behind my desire to learn. This holds true in all facits of my life.
Cheers!

Matthew, I am quite new to the world of lutherie myself and I have found most of my questions answered using the 'search' function. My suspicion is that many of the experts here, which I am not, have answered most of your questions and mine numerous times. A quick search has led me to loads of answers.

Hope this helps and good luck with your new endeavors!

Doug

It is better to post in the Guitar building forum because most don't always look at the kit builder forum, I look at the new posts once a day so I saw it. It is not exactly being ignored when you wait one day for an answer.

Phone Martin and ask for the guitar makers connection, you will get either Gail or Liz, they are both really helpful and will take phone orders.

By the way the tone of your second post will not make you a lot of friends around here.

Fred

Fred: I meant no bad tone at all. In fact, I talked of how amazing artists you all are and how I would feel privileged to be accepted. I'm sorry if my post was taken the wrong way.

Just call Martin and ask to be connected to the GMC. They will patch you right through.

To echo what Fred already said, the main building forum is the best place to get questions answered. I use the "View Active Topics" button so I can see the most recent posts. The kit forum is less active than the main forum. If you have a kit specific question, feel free to ask it in the kit sub forum, but it could take longer to get a reply. I would still post it in the main builders forum.

Gail and Liz are fantastic. I've had the pleasure of harassing both for guitar parts in person. Great couple of ladies.

Oh, I accidentally clicked on the Kit forum! Why did I do that?
Oh well, back to the regular forum I go!
