Hi all, I've got some 1) acoustic sets, 2) some HRW and ziricote appointment sets (matching bridge, headplate, fb, and bindings), and 3) some misc wood and purflings in three separate posts below to keep things somewhat organized. If you want something, post in this thread and be sure to include your zip code so I can figure shipping... I'll PM with a total. First come first served... I'll try to keep the posts updated in real time to let folks know what's still available. Shipping will be extra and is via UPS ground to the lower 48 states, or USPS Priority Mail for small items and international folks (due to CITES, Honduran mahogany and rosewoods ship to US addresses only). Acoustic sets: click the small pictures to open a link with much larger and detailed photos of ALL available sets. All backs are at least .14" thick, all sides are at least .11" thick, all are thickness sanded or planed flat on both sides.

I have several quartersawn mahogany sets in two types:

First are 6 traditional nicely quartersawn sets. Most have a little light curl, but it's subtle. All are dreadnought sized. $65 each:

Next are 3 sets which are very lightweight and almost straw colored under finish. These shimmer under light almost like koa. All dread sized, well quartersawn. $55 each:

Next are a couple classical sized sets of Pau Ferro. Nicely quartersawn. $100 each:

How about some nice honduran rosewood? Two sets are available:

and 2. A really dark purple dreadnought sized set @ $150. Sides are quartersawn, back is almost totally flatsawn:

Finally, some 'opportunity grade' honduran rosewood orphan sets. These are not pretty but otherwise are quite good... with a stain or paint these could make a really great honduran guitar for very little $! The first two backs have repaired checks that are marked with a '^' and should fall outside a classical outline. The top side has some pin knots but some interesting figure, and the smaller sides are 4-3/8" wide and have some ugly coloring. $40 each for a back or side set, or $65 for a complete set of your choice.

Next up are some appointment sets. Each set contains a bridge blank, headplate, fingerboard blank, and 5 bindings. I would include only 4 bindings but of course that would guarantee one will break on you.

These are from some dark Honduran rosewood for $40 each. The grain runs from rift sawn to aslmost flatsawn, and the bridge blanks are oversized so you can use the orientation that you prefer. The bindings are well quartersawn:







And a couple of ziricote sets @ $45 each. All quartersawn. Please note that ZC17 fingerboard is just wide enough for a Martin dread fingerboard (the outline is from an American Telecaster), so if you are making a wide nut it might not work:

Finally here's some misc woods and such

First some really spiderwebby cocobolo bridge blanks. Vertical grained, $10 each:

Finally, I have some extra tuners. These are from slot head Recording King guitars that I turn into baritones, and urge my customers to upgrade the tuners. They are not very good, but are serviceable, and if you're making a test mule or experimenting they can come in handy. Free set of 8 with any order if you can use them:

A couple of questions about the straw colored mahogany sets.

Is this Honduran mahogany?

Are both the back and sides quartersawn?

Do you have a pic that shows all of the side?

Oh well, probably for the best. Cocobolo is a little heavy for bridges anyway, plus glue resistant, plus bridge making is dusty business and I don't want to sensitize myself to the stuff too quickly

1) Will do and 2) the sides are 4-1/2" at their narrowest and flare out to over 5" on each end. There should be just enough clear material for a dread; I drew a line on the side here that runs from 4-1/4" to 4-3/4":
