Hey, come see my shop! So began my afternoon oddessy today. When I arrived at his woodshed (sorry, I've always wanted to use the word), I was totally blown away. Not only by the shop itself (it puts mine to shame! ) but by his "stash". I saw more beautiful hardwood in one place than every before, more guitars in progress than Martin and what made the trip worthwhile, a quality individual.

Tim, Thank you for your kind hospitality today, you truly have your next vocation lined up. I may not be a luthier, (yet) but I have a very critical eye due to 30 years of woodworking. Your work is tremendous and the tone(s) were beautiful. Sorry, I don't have more experience with steel (I play classical exclusively). Truth be known, today was the first time I have played a steel string guitar.

You have both fired me up to get started on my first, but have given me a high bar to reach. You taught me more in 90 minutes than I had any right to expect. I think you also should consider teaching.

Thanks again for proving what a wonderful bunch frequents this forum.

Well, so much for good intentions! I can only upload a max file size of 35 kb. This will take some work on the photo to make it viewable at that size.

Anybody know how to properly insert a photo into a message. When I tried on the last message it didn't grab it and it didn't let me know the file size was too big until after I posted the message.

I think I have this figured out. The upload thing didn't go so well so I have posted a link. I uploaded the pic to my ISP. Now you will see that it is all on the up and up.

I finally figured it out. The problem with the 35Kb picture size is that for any detailed photo, you can't see the detail. At least in the case of the one I posted. I resized it to 35 Kb and you couldn't read the plates which, I frankly, thought was pretty funny.

Now, If Tim would only come over to the "dark" side and start making classicals...
